Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk decided to visit the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas. Sources say that he wanted to have look into the immigration challenges personally. There was a record increase in the number of migrants with his visit.
Thousands of migrants have already made it to the northern part of Mexico. The have gradually crossed through the U.S. border into Texas, Arizona, and California. The increased number of arrivals is mostly because the immigrants want asylum in the jurisdiction of the United States.
There has also been a sharp increase in illegal border crossings around the areas of San Diego, California, and the tows of El Paso and Eagle Pass (located at the Texas border). As a result, many opted for an asylum attorney or similar legal options.
The most recent influx of migrants comes after a short hiatus in illegal immigration after new policies. The new policies came into force due to the initiatives taken by the Biden administration. These policies were aimed at stopping unauthorized border crossings.
Elon Musk’s visit to Eagle Pass was witness to large groups of migrants coming through the Rio Grande near a railroad bridge. Migrants have displayed remarkable determination. They remain unfazed by the razor wires on the river banks placed by the Texas National Guard.
Musk wore his usual style of clothes. A simple black T-shirt and a Texas touch of a cowboy hat. He later shared his opinion the immigration statutes of the US by means of a video-selfie. He shared the selfie on his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
