However, the detectives finally found links to the 28-year-old Bryan Christopher Kohberger in Albrightsville, Pennsylvania. It was on the 30th of December 2022 that Bryan was arrested for the first time. This came weeks after their bodies were found on the upper floors of their home.

Where is Bryan Kohberger from? Kohberger is a resident of Albrightsville, Pensylvania. Mr. Bryan is a suspect in the murder of these students. He will appear in court on Friday, the 19th of August, to discuss his alibi and other legal stands. In this article, we will discuss all about Bryan as well as the details of the case.

However, please note that we are merely stating the facts as collected from various media outlets. We do not claim the guilt or innocence of any party in this case. We stand in solidarity with the victims’ families and offer our condolences.

Now, let us know what went down.

Who Is Bryan Kohberger?

Bryan Kohberger is being referred to as the highly educated murder suspect. Why, you ask? Let us enlighten you. So, who is Bryan Christopher Kohberger?

When the murders took place, Kohberger was a Ph.D. student attaining his criminology degree at Washington State University. His University Campus was located eight miles away from Moscow, the murder site of the four college students of Idaho.

After the incident took place, the Washington State University of criminal justice and Criminology proceeded to remove Mr. Bryan Kohberger from their University website and directory. They claimed to remove the name to protect the privacy of the other students.

A Degree In Criminology

What does that really tell you? In pop culture, more often than not, we have seen serial killers taking a keen interest in subjects such as criminology or taxidermy. We obviously mean no this respect to either profession. However, what one chooses to do with their degree and knowledge completely depends on their motives and the kind of people they are.

Professor Hannibal Lecter was a master psychiatrist who had a keen understanding of criminal psychology. However, he used it to his advantage to kill people instead.

Bryan Kohberger was finally arrested after an extensive six-week investigation. In May, a grand jury trial was held on the matter. In it, the 28-year-old was indicted on four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary.

An affidavit was submitted by the Police Department of Moscow. On December 2022. This was just a couple of days prior to Bryan’s arrest. Investigators went through Mr. Kohberger’s home with the intensity of a fine-toothed comb. The trash from Mr. Kohberger’s family’s home was the source of his father’s DNA profile. This DNA matched the DNA profile collected from the knife sheath with which the students were stabbed.

What Went On At The Night Of The Murders?

The group of friends consisting of four people had gone out of town and returned late that night. The very next day there’s slaughtered bodies were found inside the off-campus home.

There was no sign of first entry or struggles.

Kaylee, Madison, Ethan, and Xana were all students at Idaho University. They all studied in the same year and lived in an off-campus residence in the college town, having a population of 25000 people.

Everything Seemed Normal

They all had two other roommates in this 6-bedroom apartment having three floors.

Xana’s last Instagram post is with Ethan wishing him his birthday on the 29th of October, 2022, weeks before the murders.

Madison’s last post was made a day before the murders, on the 12th of November, 2022.

Ethan and Xana were there to attend a party on the college campus. Kaylee and Madison were visiting a bar downtown.

Kaylee Goncalves had posted on her Instagram just the night before with photos of her with Ethan and Xana, both of whom were murdered along with her the next day.

The Instagram post had the caption, “One lucky girl to be surrounded by these ppl every day”.

Night Of The Murder

On the Night of the murder, Madison and Kaylee had ordered food late in the night at around 141 a.m. The whole food delivery was recorded in a live Twitch stream. This video shows Madison and Kaylee ordering food ($10 of carbonara from the food company Grub truckers).

They waited for the food and chatted with each other while the food arrived. The delivery man Mr Joseph Woodall stated that the students did not seen to be stressed in any way.

Ethan and Xana got back at around 1:45 a.m. Madison and Kaylee got home by means of a private car.

One of the two surviving roommates reported to the police that she heard crying in the morning after the night of the murder. She also heard someone say, “it’s okay I’m going to help you.” None of their social media profiles could be linked back to Bryan Kohberger.

This surviving roommate apparently also so a figure wearing black clothes and a mask walking toward her. Police used this information to later match the description with Bryan Kohberger.

Does The Description Of The Suspect Match Mr. Bryan Kohberger?

This surviving roommate describes the figure as 5 foot 10 inches or even taller. The figure was described to be not too muscular but athletic in build. They had bushy eyebrows. This figure clad in black clothes had apparently walked past the surviving roommate, after which she entered the room and locked all doors. She claims to have been in a state of frozen shock. The statements delivered by the surviving roommates led the police department to believe that Mr. Bryan Kohberger committed the murders between 4 am to 4 25 am. The surviving roommates woke up and called 911.

Finally, What Is The Current Situation?

The court documents against Mr. Bryan Kohberger were filed in June 2023. The prosecutors in the case said that they had found a DNA sample taken from the murder suspect as a near match with the DNA obtained from the knife.

Bryan Kohberger has obviously hired attorneys to defend his case. These lawyers who are defending him have claimed his Innocence, saying that he has a habit of driving alone. They have also said that he was apparently driving alone at the time of the murders around the scene of the murder and that he is actually innocent.

A criminal defense attorney appointed by the CBS media company has called this weak defense argument. Experts have also stated that an alibi cannot simply say that the suspect was there at the time of the murder by chance. The person proving his Innocence must provide the time and place where they were when the crime was taking place.

Bryan Kohberger continues to maintain his “not guilty” stance as he appears at the Latah County Court on the 19th of August.  He still enjoys his right to a speedy trial which puts quite a bit of pressure on the public prosecutors to present evidence that is solid enough to incriminate.

As of now, we can make no comments on why did Bryan Kohberger do it or if he did it at all. We all have to wait for the law to take its course.
