Mr. Mike Pence, the former vice president to Mr. Donald Trump and a potential candidate for the 2024 US elections, has said that he does not have any plans to testify against Mr. Trump. He stated that he only wished to follow the law.
During a recent interview, Pence was questioned about his potential role as a witness if the case proceeds to trial. The case in question is against Mr. Trump for his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
Pence responded by saying that he and his team have “consistently upheld the rule of law.” They have also taken “legal action to determine the extent of” his need to deliver testimony in court. This was important because he served as the former president of the Senate. He stated that they successfully argued in the lower court and have “complied with a subpoena.” He currently has no plans to testify.”
He continued by assuring the public that he would adhere to the law and respond accordingly if called upon: “However, one can be confident that we will always respect the law. If the situation demands, we will adhere to legal obligations and truthfully present the facts.”
Pence was also asked to comment on his views about the recent charges against Trump being considered to be political persecution. This is being promoted by certain conservative media in support of the former president.

conspiracy to defraud the United States
conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding
assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, the same day Congress gathered to confirm Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.
Mr. Pence responded by saying that he was concerned about politicization within the justice department. He also stated that it troubles him to witness the contrast between how the justice department has treated the former president’s case compared to their lack of interest in allegations of wrongdoing by the Biden family.
He also spoke about how Mr. Hunter Biden, the son of the Democratic President, is facing charges related to taxes and firearms.
